Job Description:
Cedar Fort Publishing & Media is a family-owned independent publisher based in Springville, Utah, in operation since 1986. With over 3,800 titles across 8 imprints and approximately 75 new titles released each year, we publish faith-based, inspirational, and general interest books for both the LDS and national markets. Our customers include Amazon, Costco, Deseret Book, Barnes & Noble, and many others.
We are looking for an experienced publishing sales professional to manage and grow our key retail and wholesale accounts. This role is central to our revenue strategy and requires someone who can build strong buyer relationships, represent our titles with confidence, and drive consistent sell-through across channels.

Costco | Deseret Book | Barnes & Noble | ReaderLink | Ingram | Independent Bookstores
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned retail and wholesale accounts through proactive outreach and regular buyer meetings
- Pitch frontlist and backlist titles for placement, promotions, and seasonal programs including Costco pallet programs
- Create monthly sales campaigns, discounts, bundles, and purchasing options for accounts
- Prepare proposals and presentations tailored to each account
- Maintain and expand buyer contacts across assigned accounts
- Achieve personal and company sales goals
- Stay current on our catalog by participating in weekly Acquisitions and Production meetings
- Travel to trade events and account visits as needed
- This is a hybrid position. Day-to-day work is performed remotely from your home office. You will be expected to come into our Springville, Utah office once or twice a week for team meetings and strategy sessions. Additional in-office time may be required during onboarding. Regular local travel is expected for account visits, buyer meetings, and trade events.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of publishing sales experience
- Established relationships with one or more of the following: Costco, Deseret Book, Barnes & Noble, ReaderLink, or Ingram
- Proven track record of growing accounts and closing placement deals
- Strong understanding of retail sell-through, returns, and wholesale dynamics
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong time-management and computer skills
- Must be Utah-based
