- College Marketing Assistant
Description
W. W. Norton & Company is seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant to join our college marketing department. Candidates should have a high level of curiosity and eagerness to learn more about marketing and book industry while handling general administrative tasks for the department.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
Assist with all stages of the design process for marketing materials, including handouts, social, and email graphics.
Monitor discipline email inboxes and engaging with instructors' inquiries and requests
Managing our internal SharePoint site, ensuring all marketing and sales tools are delivered to the sales reps in a timely manner and sending regular updates about new or updated materials.
Play a supporting role in our social media outreach, including executing plans, posting, and contributing creative ideas.
Write direct marketing emails and help marketing managers set up email drip campaigns.
Assist marketing managers with setting up virtual events and webinars in Pardot and Zoom.
Research and convert leads that come through our marketing automation tool
Monitor digital exam copy requests, processing them, and following up with instructors.
Sales support duties including answering questions from professors, sending sample copies, and posting relevant updates in Salesforce.
Formatting, posting, and distributing articles on the Norton Learning Blog.
Provide general administrative assistance which could include maintaining book metadata, pulling lists, maintaining marketing databases, scheduling meetings; taking minutes at meetings; check requests; expense and budget reporting, etc.
Collaborate with marketing assistant team with hiring and managing college marketing interns.
Assist design team with accuracy checks for print materials.
Set up surveys and campaigns on SurveyMonkey and BHN.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Previous experience in the book publishing industry preferred but not required.
Extremely well organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Strong writing and communication skills, and ability to work well within a team and individually.
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel required; familiarity with a variety of social media platforms, preferred.
Knowledge of virtual meeting software (e.g. Zoom and Microsoft Teams) a plus
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Vimeo, and email marketing services a plus.
Must be able to work regular business hours from our New York City headquarters. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US is required.
Must have strong time-management skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively and accurately.

Currently available benefits include:
Annual compensation for this position is $48,000. All salaries and salary ranges posted by Norton may vary depending on experience, skills, location, and like considerations.
